Cúpla Score is a free Irish quiz game that teaches and tests basic Irish, so you can learn Irish online in short, playful rounds. You travel across Ireland, from Baile Átha Cliath to Béal Feirste, through 24 short levels of greetings, numbers, colours, food, weather, signs and everyday sentences. Every level is a quick challenge, and every answer teaches you something.

At the end you get your Cúpla Score, from 0 to 1000, and an Irish title to go with it. Share it and see how much Irish your friends really have.

The Irish in the game

The game uses An Caighdeán Oifigiúil, the official written standard of Irish. Irish has three main dialects (Munster, Connacht and Ulster), and the standard is the common written form that schools, signs and official documents use.

All words, phrases and facts in the game are being reviewed by Irish speakers. If you spot something that looks wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it.
